Michael Toscano, D.O.

Dr. Michael Toscano is a comprehensive otolaryngologist practicing at Family ENT.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Toscano attended Northeastern University in Boston, graduating cum laude with a degree in biology. He went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency training in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Michigan and served as clinical faculty for the affiliated Michigan State University. Throughout residency, he gained experience treating the full breadth of ear, nose, and throat conditions.

Dr. Toscano practices as a comprehensive otolaryngologist, caring for both children and adults. His clinical interests include sinus and nasal disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disease, sleep apnea, and ear and hearing problems. He also has a particular interest in conditions affecting the vocal folds, airway, and swallowing.

He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented his work at national otolaryngology meetings. He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Licensed in both Maine and New Hampshire, he performs surgical cases locally.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Toscano enjoys spending time with his wife, Samantha, and their two young sons. He enjoys cooking—particularly if it involves making a large pot of Sunday sauce to share with friends and family. You may also find him surfing, fishing, mountain biking or playing golf, pickleball, and overly complex board games.
